Country trio Lady Antebellum performed at a special fundraising concert for Nashville’s W.O. Smith Music School Friday night at the city’s Wildhorse Saloon.

Other artists such as Brett Eldredge, Heidi Newfield and Dierks Bentley all performed at Friday night’s concert.

All proceeds raised will benefit the school, which provides music lessons, instruments and materials to children from low-income families.

“Music is an expensive endeavor; it’s very difficult to afford musical instruments or music lessons…,” W.O. Smith Director Jonah Rabinowitz said.

He continued, “By doing this we are giving children an opportunity they may not otherwise have.”

Country singer Heidi Newfield was thrilled to be performing at the benefit show on Friday night.

“…This is a night about making dreams come true, really,” Newfield said.

This is the fourth year for the W.O. Smith concert.

Previous fundraisers have included performances by Rascal Flatts, Dolly Parton, Kellie Pickler, Little Big Town, Jason Carroll and Keith Anderson.

The fundraiser was expected to raise around $90,000.

The St Jude Children’s Hospital’s Partner in Hope concert at the Dallas Bull in Flordia featured Kix Brooks, Heidi Newfield, Randy Houser and Steve Holy. They ended up raising over $219,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital!
